“Long, uninterrupted, alert practice is the firm foundation for restraining the fluctuations.” – yogasutra I.XIV
Join us on the West Coast in the harbourside town of Sooke. A tranquil refuge from the bustle of city life.
Week 1: Restoration, Recuperation & Foundations Monday, July 3 – Saturday, July 8, 2023
Week 2: Level 2-3-4 Practice Intensive
Monday, July 10 – Saturday, July 15, 2023 This retreat format asks us to meet ourselves through sustained practice, sequenced to progressively open the body through concentrated effort and awareness. In the yoga sutras of Patanjali, it’s explained that yoga practice should consist of effort or action, self study and surrender or letting go. He goes on by saying that practice should be for long periods of time, uninterrupted and practiced with love and respect. As yoga practitioners we all face starting, stopping, and restarting, irregularity and procrastination. In these practice intensives we aim to create daily structure, high quality Iyengar instruction and a supportive atmosphere and community.
This style of condensed practice gives time to consolidate what has been learned in technical study. It helps a practitioner break undesirable habits and establish positive ones. Through the process we face ourselves. We face challenges and we also unearth our sensitivity and our strength, our inspiration and appreciation through a committed journey.
With the focus being more on practicing rather than learning new techniques and collecting more points, one has the opportunity to be in a more meditative state. Being with like minded practitioners creates a supportive atmosphere to assist in going beyond where we go when practicing alone. And finally, we aim to cultivate love and respect in order to stay the course of a lifetime of practice.

BKS Iyengar honoured the Guru-Sisya (teacher-student) tradition by brilliantly sharing his knowledge and sharp observations of his students to help them refine their practices and access the missing links.
We’re honoured to have Senior teacher Marlene Mawhinney, who studied closely with BKS Iyengar and has decades of experience in learning, practice and teaching, join us for a virtual workshop. Over the weekend Marlene will share her keen eyes to shed light on our practices, providing insights, feedback and ways of ‘working’.
Marlene Mawhinney was in the group of first teachers in Canada certified by BKS Iyengar. She holds the RIMYI Certification at the Senior Intermediate III level. She is a founding member of IYAC (the Iyengar Yoga Association of Canada). Marlene has taught yoga for 50 years and has been President and Senior Teacher at Yoga Centre Toronto from 1989 until 2020. Marlene has been to Pune for study sixteen times as well as studying with BKS Iyengar and Geeta Iyengar in Canada, USA, and South Africa.
In addition to teaching regular classes at all levels, Marlene has a special interest in training teachers and in teaching students requiring therapeutic adaptions. Due to the pandemic situation Marlene has taught regularly on a virtual platform since March 2020.
For teachers and students with at least one year of Iyengar yoga practice and experience with headstand and shoulderstand or variations. A recording of this session will be sent to all participants to view for 5 days after the workshop.

In celebration of our 20th anniversary, Kelowna Yoga House is hosting a series of monthly on-line or in-studio mini-workshops from January to June 2022. We are inviting pervious workshop teachers to once again share their wisdom with us. Join us in March with Deborah Lomond, Senior teacher from Nova Scotia who will be teaching in person in Kelowna. As a founding member of Kelowna Yoga House we are grateful to have Deborah offer us this workshop taking us from Stability to Lightness. The practice of yogasana for the sake of health, to keep fit or to maintain flexibility is a legitimate place to begin but it is not the end. Even in simple asanas, one is experiencing the three levels of the quest: the external quest, which brings firmness of the body, the internal quest, which brings steadiness of intelligence and the innermost quest which brings benevolence of spirit. Join Deborah for this delightful morning of yoga. Prerequisite: one year of experience and ability to set up for Sarvangasana. Please bring your own mat and proof of vaccination.

We’re honoured to host Ann to share her knowledge with us again! Ann’s virtual workshop is for
everyone interested in understanding how to practice using āsana in supported ways for deeper
effects, after the menstrual cycle. Participants should understand how to set up for and be in
salamba sarvangasana or alternative.
How we practice āsana depends on why we are practicing. After the menstrual cycle, we transition
into a fuller practice including twisting and inversions, with fewer supports. Ann will share practical
ideas for how to hold the intelligence and move forward from more limited asana practices given for
menses, fatigue or minor ailments. Principles of working wisely can be cultivated by one and all.
Ann found her way into these practices slowly and sensitively, and through personal adversity. In
this workshop she will continue to share some of the insights she has learned over the years.
Whatever your gender or reproductive stage of life, the understanding that comes from working
wisely within different categories of asana can bring valuable insights to personal practice.
Ann Kilbertus began her Iyengar yoga studies in the 1980s. She made her first of many journeys to
Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute Pune, India in 1992. She has served in various roles for
local and national Iyengar Yoga associations, and long taught a credit Yoga course at the University
of Victoria. She continues to learn about Yoga in its fullest sense in every way available.
Going Deeper is a monthly 2.5-hour group practice for practitioners who already do yoga regularly and who are interested in exploring the effect of practice more deeply. Students need to be familiar enough with asana that they can make wise adaptations for themselves. There will be less focus on instruction while practicing and more on exploration.

Based in L.A. but born on the Canadian prairies, we welcome back Garth McLean to teach a three day workshop Nov 12 – 14th, online via Zoom.
Garth is a senior level Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher and a Certified Yoga Therapist with the International Association of Yoga Therapists. He is a founding member of the Iyengar Yoga Therapeutics group, a non-profit based in L.A. dedicated to helping people manage diseases and conditions through the therapeutic applications of yoga. He is a direct student of BKS Iyengar who studies and teaches yoga from a unique perspective:
“Blessed with a diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis in 1996, Garth successfully manages his course of MS and a hectic schedule with a daily practice of Iyengar Yoga as presented by Yoga master Yogacharya BKS Iyengar.”
Garth teaches with humour and compassion. His previous workshop in Vancouver 2019 focused on Yoga and the Nervous System and was incredibly insightful on how to practice yoga, both on and off the mat, with poise and awareness.
There’s a lot more to know about Garth – he’s a busy guy – he’s an actor/producer who wrote and still performs a one man play Looking for Lightning based on MS and his Iyengar yoga experience. And he just wrote a book, Yoga and Multiple Sclerosis: a practical guide for people with MS and yoga teachers.
Whether you are a student, teacher or workshop coordinator working with online technology can be a challenge. Teaching and managing students adds further complications. This workshop will provide an overview of the essential hardware and software while bringing it all together for a better overall experience. David Leclair & Tanya Marusech will address such topics as cameras, microphones, lighting and online conferencing software. There will be opportunities to ask questions with the hope of uncovering a basic set up for students and teachers alike.
During this time of isolation, we must delve into our own practice. We will explore the four pillars of practice from the Yoga Sutras – faith, courage, memory, samadhi – to intensify our practice. Our panel from across Canada, will guide us in this interactive philosophy discussion. Guruji’s words will inspire us.
Sutra 1.20: Practice must be pursued with trust, confidence, vigour, keen memory and power of absorption to break this spiritual complacency.
BKS Iyengar (Light on the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali)
The panel, Leslie Hogya, Judi Mirus, Linda Shevloff, and Sarah Bertucci, are long time Iyengar yoga practitioners and respected Senior Iyengar Yoga teachers.

In The Tree of Yoga B.K.S. Iyengar instructs: “In any yoga pose, two things are required: sense of
direction and centre of gravity.”
Every movement of the body creates a change in our centre of gravity and each yoga posture has its own centre of gravity. The mechanisms of sensory reception for maintaining balance originate in the brain and are important to nurture as we age. Research has shown that balancing exercises nourish the brain and may improve cognitive function.
Continuing from his previous workshops on this subject and introducing new content, Usher will utilize yoga postures to learn about the dynamics of human balance and the various directional actions required for stabilization and extension.
Improve your balance, strengthen your stabilizing muscles and develop focus and concentration.
Join Usher for this two-hour workshop open to students of all levels. A recording of this session will be sent to all participants to view for 5 days after the workshop.

A Virtual Retreat with Ty Chandler & Sharoni Fixler
“long, uninterrupted, alert practice is the firm foundation for restraining the fluctuations.” ~ yogasutra i.xiv
Immerse yourself in a weekend of retreat-style practice for recuperation, re-energizing and deepening your practice. This virtual gathering is designed to bring you the experience of an at home retreat with practice and reflection and with the guidance of expert teachers. An opportunity to disconnect from your daily life and focus on yourself. Experience the transformative effects of sustained practice.
about retreat intensives
This retreat format asks us to meet ourselves through sustained practice, sequenced to progressively open the body through concentrated effort and awareness.
And finally, we aim to cultivate love and respect in order to stay the course of a lifetime of practice

Samantha Lloyd – Senior Intermediate I
An Iyengar Yoga teacher with almost 20 years of experience, Sam embraces the practicality of the Iyengar system, holds dear the ethical codes of the Yamas & Niyamas and loves to play in the mountains as much as she does on her mat. How we practice āsana depends on why we are practicing. During the menstrual cycle, practice is approached to remove fatigue, quieten the mind and soften the organic body. These principles of working wisely in a range of āsanas can be cultivated by one and all.
Ann found her way into these practices slowly and sensitively, and through personal adversity. In this workshop she will share some of the insights she has learned over the years. June 20 Celebrating International Day of Yoga!

Although we are unable to meet as a group at the moment, we ARE able to evolve as a community of practitioners from the comfort of our homes, through the *magic* of Zoom.

Join us for a philosophy discussion led by Leslie Hogya on April 17th from 10 – 11:30 am PDT. Referencing B.K.S. Iyengar’s Light on Life and The Yoga Sutras of Patañjali, Leslie will lead an interactive conversation about the 5 vrttris, with a focus on smrti (memory).
How do our memories affect our yoga asana practice? How do they affect our interactions with others in our daily lives? Are our memories obstacles or do they serve us well?
Dear Members,
Welcome to the online home for our 3-part webinar series titled, Unpacking Culture, Identity, & Bias: On the Mat and Off.
The first session will focus on culture, identity & bias from a personal perspective. Session 2 will take the concepts that we explore in session 1 and apply them to yoga philosophy. For the third session, we will explore a visioning exercise and collectively brainstorm action items for how both as Iyengar Yoga practitioners and as an Iyengar Yoga association we can do better with respect to diversity and inclusion.
The purpose of these sessions is to gather in community and explore what makes each one of us who we are within the diverse society in which we live. We hope to consciously explore the elements of our own identity (race, class, gender, ability etc.) in an effort to shed light on internal biases and develop new respect and appreciation for the experience of others. During these sessions, we plan to share with you ideas, resources and participatory exercises that have been particularly helpful to us.
We were inspired to engage IYAC/ACYI members in dialogue around these issues in large part as a response to the racial uprising that happened in the aftermath of George Floyd’s murder in the USA. In Canada we are not immune to racial biases and racially motivated hate crimes and there is much to be gained from revealing the systemic nature of culture, identity, and bias.
We hope that you will join us. These conversations can be challenging, unfamiliar, and sometimes sensitive but they are also almost always insightful.
Warm Regards,
Patricia Fernandes & Stephanie Tencer

MARCH 6, 2021 IYCV PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT DAY 10:30am-12:30pm PST
The main purpose of the coming Pro D in March is to connect with each other and to our larger community of teachers. We have not been together in person as a community since the incredible shift in our world began with the pandemic.
For that reason, we are offering a guided practice in which you will have blocks of time to settle your nerves, to explore some asanas which will be called and to have the experience of an all category balanced practiced in line with the new directions from RIMYI. Any assessments which will take place in the future will no longer have timed practices as part of the experience. The approach to this practice will be to give you an opportunity to go within with some structure, some freedom and hopefully in such away that the exploration in a group practice allows a deepening of focus without stress.
We will begin the meeting with a few announcements and reflections from a few Level 1 and Level 2 teachers in our group.
The format of the practice will be: ( Leslie,Ann,Ty to facilitate the practice)
- 15 minutes self selected calming poses
- 45 minutes called practice from the new Level one syllabus (this will include arm balance)
- 15 minutes self selected inversions.
- Savasana
After the meeting if you have any questions or comments, please send them to Ann (annmike@shaw.ca) and Leslie ( leslie.hogya@gmail.com). These may be used in planning a direction for our next sessions. We will sign off quietly so you can hold the experience of savasana after the practice.
To register for this free event, please phone 250-386-9642 during office hours (below), or email iyoga@telus.net.

Join Ann Kilbertus and Louie Ettling for this week long virtual experience. Louie and Ann attended the session in December 2019 with Abhijata and Prashant Iyengar where a new approach to the way we train and evaluate teachers was a main focus.
This tradition of summer intensives for teachers was started decades ago at the YMCA with Shirley Daventry French. It has involved and supported the practice of many Canadian teachers over the last 30 years.
This year, because of the pandemic, we are continuing the tradition virtually.
Each day we will practice, teach each other and reflect upon Yoga in today’s world.
We invite you to join us for this unique opportunity to explore Ashtanga Yoga!
Registration is NOW OPEN

Feel your practice slipping away? Fire up your practice mid summer, with 5 consecutive days of morning practice in the beautiful Okanagan. The focus is on building a vibrant “body of knowledge”!
BKS Iyengar wrote “Practice with Love, live in it and labour in it and laugh at failures”.
Let us do just that this Labour Day weekend, as we launch back into the routines of the Fall.
Students often say that the reason they do not attend weekend workshops is that they are not “_______” enough. The blank might be filled with “strong” “experienced” or even “good”. It is true that reasonable health and a basic foundation of knowledge prepare you to benefit fully from a weekend of Iyengar yoga.
The most important approach for a weekend workshop is to focus on actually feeling the teaching from within. If we go inward and observe carefully and sensitively how the practice is affecting us, our practice will blossom. If we constantly compare ourselves to others, it will contract and shrink.
The intensive welcomes Iyengar yoga students who have been coming to classes for at least 6 months, and who have learned Sarvangasana. You’re welcome to attend one or two sessions if you can’t manage all three, though the experience will be richer if you are present for the full program.
Our practice continues! Let’s use preparations and asana from earlier syllabi to help us practice the Intermediate Senior I asana. Each workshop will explore different content, so no worries if you missed the December and January sessions.
Join Senior Iyengar yoga teacher, Ty Chandler from Victoria, BC as we explore the discipline of freedom through the inspired teachings of Iyengar yoga. Ty is known for her strong, precise teaching and her warm, encouraging style. She blends physically demanding asana work with clear verbal instruction, yet supports students to stay connected to their own experience. Open to students who have at least one year of Iyengar yoga experience and are able to set up props for Shoulderstand.

Two opportunities to learn from Jawahar Bangera, long-time student and disciple of BKS Iyengar, at Kelowna Yoga House. Weekend Seminar from March 27 through March 29, 2020 or Intensive Seminar from March 27 through March 31, 2020.
Do you have an easy “seat”? Or are your hip muscles holding you back? Hip external rotation is integral to yoga asana, including fundamental sitting poses from Sukhasana to Padmasana. In this workshop, we’ll strengthen and stretch target muscles to go deeper in hip-opening poses—while safeguarding your knees and ankles. If you hold tension in your hips, this workshop is for you!
Participants should have approximately one year of yoga experience and no major injuries.
Summer’s Here! On the cusp of solstice, we’ll weave the concept of the gunas into a practice that will help keep you cool this summer. Playing with the gunas in our practice is a bit like embracing our inner Goldilocks…
Not too hot (rajas)
Not too cold (tamas)
But…Just Right (sattva)
Ride, paddle, hike, road trip, gardening, book and beach time – whatever your plans, this workshop will help keep you balanced this summer. Leave with a simple, accessible and practical practice that you can do anywhere to help you stay cool in the heat, calm in the crowds, and have the energy to go when adventure calls!
In this session we will explore some of the more unusual and challenging postures done in the ropes. We will go beyond the standard rope work we get to do in a regular class or in a rope workshop designed for all levels of students. Participants need to be injury-free and familiar with basic rope work already (such as dog pose in the ropes with feet on floor as well as with feet higher up on the wall, and with headstand in the ropes). The workshop is limited to 22 students.
Parivrtta means turning or revolving, so come explore and experience the many benefits of practicing the revolving poses. “Squeeze & soak” in twists to wring-out toxins, revitalize organs, relieve backaches, and shoulder stiffness. Twisting is fun way to release tension.
All levels welcome, but not recommended during pregnancy or menstruation.
Why do phrases like “sticking your neck out” or ” carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders” exist in our language? Could it be because we tend to tense the neck and shoulder area habitually and then forget how to release them? In this workshop we will explore the neck and shoulder zone and practice ways to free them.
In Iyengar yoga, poses using the ropes are referred to as yoga Kurunta. Kuranti is a puppet, a doll made of wood. In yoga Kurunta one learns to manipulate oneself in the various yoga postures by means of a suspended rope as if one were a puppet. Here the puppeteer and the puppet are one, performing their own puppet show. Performing yogasanas (yoga poses) with the aid of a rope has many advantages. Due to the rope movement the spine becomes supple and even difficult asanas can be done easily and safely. Please bring a pair of gym (short finger type) gloves with you if you have some. This workshop is limited to 30 people.

Ty Chandler from Victoria is welcomed back to Yoga North – Iyengar Yoga Winnipeg for a weekend workshop, May 31, June 1 and 2.
Friday, 6 pm to 8:30 pm
Saturday, 9 am to 1 pm
Sunday, 9 am to 1 pm
This workshop is intended for all with or without knee issues. The knees perform weight-bearing functions as well as flexion movements. Standing with the knee bent for long periods of time stresses the knee and can damage the cartilage. The femur and tibia roll and glide on each other during flexion and extension. In this workshop, we will focus on extending the knee in straight leg asanas both before and after working on flexion of the knee.
We will work intelligently and without aggression. There will also be some focus on the hips, as without mobility and stability in this region the knees bare the strain. When something goes awry in the knees we compensate in the hips, sacroiliac, ankles and feet.
We will use the knee rods for the first part of the workshop then remove them and keep the cut belts in place for the remainder.

Born in Southern India 100 years ago, the legendary guru is the founder of Iyengar Yoga, a form of Hatha known for its rigorous mental and spiritual focus. Filmed before he passed away in 2014, this intimate portrait centres on Iyengar’s legacy and teachings, while illuminating the life-changing holistic methods at the core of his practice. Whether you’re a seasoned devotee or simply looking for self-care motivation, this profound film is bound to steer you on the path to mindfulness.

Edwin is a highly respected scholar and professor of Hinduism at Rutgers University. His yoga practice has been steady for well over 30 years, and his special connection to the Iyengar yoga community came through Patricia Walden. He has a remarkable knack for combining academic rigor and accessibility of the material he teaches, all enfolded in kindness and generosity. We are delighted to welcome him back to Pathway Yoga in April, when his teachings will focus on the Bhagavad Gita.
Marlene is one of Canada’s treasured senior-most teachers, and we are thrilled to welcome her back to Pathway Yoga. Marlene’s quest for depth in yoga led her to BKS Iyengar, and from 1985 onward she returned to India regularly to study and work with Guruji and Geetaji. “As a teacher, the biggest gift I have is my teacher, BKS Iyengar. The next biggest gift I have is the students.” Marlene
Marlene’s workshop welcomes seasoned Iyengar yoga students familiar with Sirsasana – wall is fine – and Sarvangasana.

Journey Inward: Restorative Iyengar Yogawith Cheryl Joseph
As we head towards the darkest part of the year, come enjoy a Saturday afternoon of gently unwinding. In this restorative workshop we will practice a series of supported yoga postures and pranayama breathing exercises that will help us to settle into deep relaxation. This workshop is a great way to nourish the nervous system and prepare for a restful evening. All students are welcome.
Why Bend Over Backwards? with Terri Damiani
Refresh your Lungs with Louie Ettling
In this workshop we will first broaden the body by doing gentle asana (postures). Then we will elongate the trunk actively. Once the trunk is spread horizontally and vertically, Louie will guide students through meditative breathing (pranayama). Pranayama can be very helpful in soothing our city nerves. This workshop is appropriate for all levels of students.
Go Deeper in Hip Flexion with Luci Yamamoto
Can you bend deeply at the hip? From Child’s Pose to Marichyasana to Kurmasana, hip flexion is integral to many asanas. In this workshop, we’ll stretch and strengthen the typical “trouble spot” muscles: glutes, external rotators, and adductors. We’ll then explore hip-flexing poses with individualized prop setups. If you hold tension in your hips, this workshop is for you!
Participants should have at least six months of yoga experience and no major injuries.
Strengthening and Releasing: Your Neck and Shoulders with Morgan Rea
Many of us have tight or stiff necks and shoulders. Come to a workshop to focus on these areas to find more strength, mobility, and ease. Appropriate for all levels of students, including those with minor neck and shoulder discomfort, but not significant or recent injury.
Yoga Ropes Workshop for all levels with Corrie Vorlaufer
Lower Back Care with Patricia Fernandes
As we age, habitual posture and repetitive movements can lead to lower back discomfort. This workshop will focus on how to integrate asanas into your practice that will support the health and function of the spine. Join us and explore postures that will improve the strength and flexibility of your back. All levels welcome.
Setting Up a Home Practice with Linda Shevloff
Learn how to organize yourself to do a well-rounded yoga practice at home that supports what you have been learning in classes and helps you to integrate those lessons into your life. If you have any special needs that you would like addressed, please submit a question to Linda at The Yoga Space at least two weeks before the workshop date.
Hop on the Padmasana Bus with Sam Lloyd
Whether or not you get to the final destination, this trip around the hips has lots of great places to explore! Playfully investigate some of the routes into this dynamic seated pose. See how far you get and maybe surprise yourself.
In this course, Linda and students will discuss the ideas presented in the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali and The Bhagavad Gita, both ancient Hindu texts that have had a large influence on the study of yoga. We will discuss the ideas at the root of yogic practice, their relevance and purpose, and how these texts relate to us today. Linda will present an aspect of the Sutras or the Bhagavad Gita and will lead a discussion in order to provoke thinking and to clarify meaning.

Anyone who has purchased a premium theme knows that there is an entire customer relationship involved. The whole experience includes everything from the quality of the theme to the documentation to the priority support, even the demos, etc.
That’s why I can’t say enough about AJ’s care for his Total Theme customers.
Just when you think you’re “just purchasing a product”, here you get an amazing developer who really knows his stuff but actually takes time to write back and see how he can help!
AJ is a great combination of technical/WordPress expert and compassionate/helpful person! And I experience both every time I use Total. Thank you, AJ!
The Total theme, with the included WPBakery Visual Composer and Templatera plugins, creates an amazingly customizable responsive theme. Every page layout on your site can be tweaked if you wish, and you can build templates for different sections or categories of your posts and pages for an easy start on a new post or page.
The documentation pages are comprehensive and deserve a thorough read to allow you to better understand the possibilities. If you’re still stuck on something, I found the author is quick to respond to support requests.
As a side note, if you construct your WordPress in a sandbox (like MAMP Pro) you can create as many sites as you want without a need for a license for each one – a great way to test different designs. Of course, you’ll need a license when for each site that goes live.
Thank you. I love this theme. It is very easy to customise, and you really can build anything with it, which is why I am coming back to buy more licences.
The base theme itself is attractive, but the demo themes knock it out of the park for me, because they give inspiration AND a showcase for what you can do with the theme. If you follow what’s been done in the demo and customise it for your needs, you are on your way to a great looking site in no time.
I find the docs easy to follow as well. Thanks again WP Explorer.
Amazing theme builder packed with fantastic features. Easy to use.
The free templates built in look stunning.
Made a great Eccommerce shop in a few hours using this, normally would spend days building the site. Sped up my workflow alot.
The code is good, site is fast.
Tried loads of theme builders that claim to do it all, this one works and is by far the best out there.
I recently purchased this template because it has allowed me to structure my Wordpress site in ways that all the other themes weren’t able to do. Or at least not without knowing how to use php and other coding techniques.
So far I have been very pleased with how it is working. I’ve got my site structured how I would like it to be and everything is working perfectly.
I would also like to mention the excellent customer service that I received from AJ. I had a question about the theme, so I sent over asking what to do. Within an hour my question had been answered with included screenshots! I have never had such responsive and helpful support from other themes.
Very glad I made the decision to purchase this template! Thanks again to the developers!
I was so frustrated over getting a theme and then struggling to customize every part of it due to lack of or unclear documentation. There were so many options available that I found myself a bit overwhelmed, Total is so well-documented, including videos, that I am able to successfully customize every aspect so far, down to the height of the menu bar when scrolling on mobile. I don’t know what it is about this theme that seems more accessible and intuitive to me. I was also struggling with other themes that had so many flashy features thrown onto one page, because I realized as I was editing the templates that I did not need them all. Total provides structure to every theme that makes sense and is related to each theme focus and is not overdone.
I also notice that Total looks more vibrant and sharp than other themes I looked at – it just stands out. That, coupled with the vast icon and typography choices, result in pages that are beautiful yet flow logically.
I recently purchased Total and refreshed the design of my website using the template. As an artist I am only limited time and budget, and I needed to have my website up and running with as little of my involvement as possible.
AJ, Adrian and their marketing genius, have been very responsive and top drawer with their support, especially when I use their ticket support system, while I set up the website. My website is not the best nor is it the end-all-be-all, but it works and looks much better than what I could have hacked with my basic knowledge of coding.
Plus if you look through their support forum AJ and his team have provided quick and helpful responses where applicable, and you can somewhat gauge the customer support there as well.
Thank you Adrian and AJ for your time and support. I wish you guys continue to deliver and do well.
Being a first time WordPress user I was able to build a website without any programming experience what so ever.
As you can image I’ve asked quite a few questions due to having zero experience with WordPress before purchasing the Total theme. The support team has always been polite, courteous and quick to respond to my questions no matter how basic they might be.
I’ve listed Customer Support as my reason, as nothing else really matters to me unless there is some level of support behind it. AJ was swift in replying to my comment post for support.
Aside from that, the TOTAL theme I purchased is unbelievable!!!…
The Total theme has been a blessing as I build and update my site. It has allowed me to create a new site that is far beyond my old themed site, and I did it all myself after a developer quoted nearly $10k to build 6-custom page templates, whereas I created 49 complete pages on my own for the cost of the theme.
Okay, it took months to complete, but in the end, I saved a lot of capital, learned a lot about my new Theme, and have a completely new site (instead of just a few new templates from a developer).
Thanks again, as you have developed the perfect combination of a customizable, flexible and feature packed theme that I can be proud of using.
Well, I accidentally hit the Save button by accident.
The theme surpasses “excellent.”
And the quality of the theme is only surpassed by the most excellent support that AJ provides via the “Discussion on Total – Responsive Multi-Purpose WordPress Theme.” He works long, hard hours (too hard, I’d say), goes way out of his way to answer all questions in great detail every single day, and has great grace with and patience for all, including and especially those of us who are new to WordPress and have had to learn, with his help, how to crawl and to stand before we could walk. I don’t know what I would have done without his help.
I’d give it twenty stars, instead of the maximum of five, if I could.
This is the best Wordpress theme I’ve used so far – and I’ve used many.
It is flexible, intuitive and allows me to easily create great page designs. There are plenty of fonts and unlimited color choice (including transparency), and I can select different backgrounds for different pages (which is not possible on most themes). The various page elements provide plenty of options for displaying content in the clearest possible way.
I’m grateful to have finally found a powerful theme that works well.
