Guruji’s 102nd Birthday Celebration and
Remembering Geetaji: 2nd Punya Tithi
Online Global Gathering
Gather online with us to honor and celebrate Yogacharya B.K.S. Iyengar’s 102nd birthday and in remembrance of Geetaji S. Iyengar’s Punya Tithi on
Saturday, Dec. 19, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. EST.
To commemorate this prodigious occasion, we will practice together with rarely seen classes taught by Guruji and Geetaji from the 1980s and ’90s. After the classes, students and teachers will share recollections of Geetaji and Guruji. These stories will reveal the humanness of their interactions with students, which many, unfortunately, can no longer experience. This special gathering will highlight the endless blessings their legacy has bestowed on us all and give us insight into the profound effect and influence of Guruji and Geetaji.
Everyone is invited to attend this momentous occasion. The event is FREE, but suggested donations to The Bellur Trust via the IYNAUS website will be welcomed. These charitable donations go towards ongoing efforts to meet the basic needs and provide opportunities for the residents of Bellur—Guruji’s birthplace. Your contributions supporting our beloved Guru’s vision to uplift the entire local community are greatly appreciated.
Thank you for registering and participating in this event! A confirmation email will be sent upon registration. This will be a Zoom online event. A reminder email with the link will be sent 24 hours prior to the event and again one hour prior to the event. The recording will be made available for seven days after the event. Please contact email@example.com if you do not receive the Zoom link or have any questions.
We look forward to our global gathering in the spirit of community.
