Yogāsana Adaptations – An Opportunity for IYAC/ACYI Members!
Join us for 2 more interactive online sessions exploring the adaptations of āsanas to observe the effects on our physical, physiological and emotional bodies.
Learn how to adapt forward extensions, and sitting postures to promote overall health in practice.
How can the wisdom of Patañjali’s Yoga Sutra guide us in this process?
How can we adapt to create a healthy and stable foundation in seated and forward extension postures?
How can we adapt āsanas to support physiological and emotional bodies?
Explore how to adapt yoga postures to different conditions. We will start with four sessions. Two of them will review standing postures, one forward extensions, and one seated postures. We will look at ways to promote health from a physical, physiological and emotional perspective.
These will be interactive and fun sessions, suitable for all IYAC/ACYI members. We will use our body/mind/breath to cultivate our own experience and develop our sensitivity by trying different variations to observe the effects on our physical, physiological and emotional bodies.
This is not a therapeutic course, but an opportunity to explore what can work for us and for our students.
