This tradition of summer intensives for teachers was started decades ago at the Victoria YMCA with Shirley Daventry French. It has evolved and supported the practice of many Canadian teachers over the last 30 years.

As uncertainties continue in the world, we are carrying on with a virtual intensive this year. We will practice, interact, and respond as we explore Yoga through the path of questions.

We invite you to join us as colleagues for this unique opportunity to explore Ashtanga Yoga in the tradition of BKS Iyengar.

LOUIE ETTLING and ANN KILBERTUS are experienced Canadian teachers who started their studies of Iyengar Yoga in the early 80’s. They have travelled to Pune regularly since the 90’s and continue to be involved in the mentorship and assessment of teachers across Canada.
