Sharoni Fixler, Alberta

Sharoni Fixler is the founder and director of the Calgary Iyengar Yoga Centre and a certified Iyengar yoga teacher (Junior Intermediate III). She came to yoga in her early twenties in search of peace of mind, ease in body and practical principles for living that resonated. Sharoni has a BA in Philosophy and has been teaching yoga for 10 years. Her passion lies in developing depth in practice and weaving the principles of yoga into our lives. Her primary teachers are Margot Kitchen and Faeq Biria. Sharoni has taken two trips to Pune, India, to study at the RIMYI (Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute). She developed and facilitates the Pre-Teacher Training Program which is focused on personal practice. Iyengar yoga has deeply enriched her life and she enjoys sharing her inspiration with others.
